We discovered the beautiful Happy Valley beach at the Sunshine Coast when we drove around a bit after Renée & Andrew's sunset engagement at Moffat Beach around the corner (click here to see their shots). It's a wonderful beach with views of the Glasshouse Mountains during sunset!
Amy & Tim opted for a morning session to catch some milky light and to avoid the crowds. The icing on the top for us was of course their sweet and huge Labrador x Great Dane doggie, Cosmo. He was gentle puppy giant and we loved having him there. Dogs make everything more fun. He was very good when I tried to sit him down in front of his parents to get a shot that Amy & Tim really wanted: Cosmo holding a chalk board and the couple in the back. They haven't set their wedding date yet, but wanted a save-the-date shot, so they will use the space on the chalk board to add the date later. Clever!
I also used my handwriting ninja skills for another shot Amy had in mind, where Cosmo is with a sign that say 'Mum & Dad are getting married'. We had the session just before Christmas, so Doruk and I were speeding things up to get their online gallery up asap. Amy's parents were around for the session and we took some photos of Amy with them as well. Within a few days after her session, Amy ordered prints from our photolab printer in our studio and we delivered her prints to her home in Chermside in perfect time for some Christmas gifts. So glad it all worked out as it was a crazy busy time of year for us.
Here are their photos. Doesn't Cosmo look amazing with his little bow!
