Amy & Jordan had their wedding and engagement session long booked. When they got the happy news that they had a Little One on the way, they asked whether they could turn their engagement session into a gender reveal session.
We said yes, but bub said no and didn't show off his/her gender during the ultrasound before our shoot. So we prepared for everything and laughed about #babywalters' attitude, making us do double the work and probably having a chuckle about it.
Props: I quickly designed and printed two signs on 350gsm poster paper, cut the edges into waves and popped some silk ribbons on the edges. I also went crazy at the flower market the day before the shoot because I wanted to make a real mumma wreath for Amy. I can't even remember everything that was featured in her wreath, but there were pale blue hydrangeas, lavender, strawflowers, roses... a bit of a floral explosion!
We still have to wait to find out Baby Walters' gender, so I prepared their engagement video in two versions for now, one showing the photos with the 'it's a boy' sign and one video showing the 'it's a girl' sign photos. Doruk reckons it will be a girl because he thought the girl sign looked prettier. Haha, go figure. No matter the gender, we can't wait to meet him/her and to catch up with Amy & Jordan again for their wedding in June. It's a bit of a drive away near Coff's Harbour, so we'll make a road trip and weekend away of it. xx
