On a fine summer morning earlier this year, we met this adorable little family (including puppy Jake!) for a sunrise engagement photography session at Wellington Point.
With one eye open and one eye still sleeping, I said good morning as we met the lovely Beccii & Nathaniel for the very first time in real life. But then they surprised us and my other eye woke up! Instead of bringing coffee along for the shoot, they had brought us our very own coffee mugs! Four of them, featuring our logo and daily grind (pun totally intended) summary:
Coffee ~ Capture ~ Edit ~ Repeat.
How amazing is that?! I was awake after that and it was such a thoughtful gift and fabulous surprise (THANK YOU, LEGENDS!). We use our mugs daily and think back to our beautiful sunrise shoot whenever we do.
Wellington Point holds a lot of meaning for Beccii & Nathaniel because it's where they always used to go since the beginning of their relationship to let the hours go by easy in each other's company and marvel at the ocean views.
Although we had only been talking over the phone and via emails before, I felt like I had a good idea of Beccii's style and taste. Her flower-filled instagram account might have dropped a hint or two as well. Beccii and I had a chat about some dress options and she brought a few along for the session so we could decide on the spot and mix it up a bit.
The day before the session, I visited to the Brisbane Flower Market, my happy place, and made a flower crown for the shoot. Orange roses were an easy choice, really. They are tattooed onto Beccii's legs and feature regularly in her outfits of the day and in the garden of her home. So we chose two dresses, popped on the roses, took puppy Jake along and off we went for a glorious sunrise session by the ocean. Doruk and I quickly went from sleepy to ecstatic when we saw what a beautiful sunrise we were blessed with for the shoot.
We are so excited to share these photos with our beautiful couple and with all you Lovers who follow us and make our job and life wonderful. Keep an eye open for Beccii & Nathaniel's Bunya Mountains wedding coming up later this year in October. I have followed Beccii's planning and preparations along and have already locked her in to write a guest blog post after her wedding to share with you how she made her favours - hand-poured candles with essential oils!
Before I head back to my life of #coffeecaptureeditrepeat, I raise my coffee mug and salute you! ENJOY YOUR PHOTOS and thank you for all your love and friendship since our first contact. xx Tina
"We love the way you two work together - it was very cute watching you! We can tell how passionate you are about your photography and can't say enough good things about you! Can't wait to share our photos [...]. We had sooo much fun at our engagement shoot! We both loved the direction and feedback you gave us throughout the shoot. It has just made us so much more excited for the wedding now we know how part of it will go and how fun that will be!
Love Note from Beccii. Thank You!
