Happy Saturday to y'all.
I'll be spending the day prepping florals for a few sunrise and sunset engagement and baby gender reveal photography sessions that we have coming up over the next few days. Thought I'd hit the Brisbane Flower Market on Friday to avoid the Valentine's Day crowds over the weekend. All the floral beauty aside - it was awesome to just hang out in the cold rooms to escape the heat. We have another heatwave hitting Brisbane this weekend - S.O.S!
Today we had an engagement photography session planned with one of our couples who booked our Sapphire Package for wedding photography, which includes a free engagement session. They recently found out that they are expecting, so we turned their engagement photo session into a baby gender reveal session - easy. The only thing is that bub didn't cooperate during their last ultrasound, so we're going to shoot today still not knowing the gender! I have a few florals prepared for each occasion. Not trying to perpetuate stereotypes here, but the old pink-blue distinction will do the trick for what the couple wanted. Once the couple knows what gender bub will be, they can use the photo with the pink or blue-hued blooms to announce it.
We also have a sunset engagement session coming up where our bride-to-be asked for some 'mystical' shots, surrounded by nature. I am thinking blue thistle and Schinus Molle, the pretty Peruvian Pink Peppertree (not related to the black pepper tree, but so pretty for florals!).
Then there is a sunrise beach engagement photo session coming up at beautiful Wellington Point. In a white dress and then a floral dress. I am thinking orange and blush roses and pink hypericum berries.
