SPICERS HIDDEN VALE | ELOPEMENT EDITORIAL

A Wide Open Sky Sunset Elopement at Spicers Hidden Vale

Tucked between rolling hills, wide paddocks and endless Queensland skies, Spicers Hidden Vale feels like the kind of place made for slowing down. Just over an hour from Brisbane and often loved by couples searching for a relaxed yet elevated countryside experience, it has quietly become one of the most beautiful locations for a Toowoomba wedding or intimate Queensland elopement.

Courtney & Jackson’s sunset elopement editorial at Spicers Hidden Vale was exactly that kind of magic - soft, windswept, cinematic and deeply romantic beneath an enormous sky that seemed to stretch on forever.

As golden light poured over the property and storm clouds drifted slowly across the horizon, the entire evening felt suspended somewhere between nostalgia and cinema. The open fields surrounding Spicers Hidden Vale create this incredible sense of scale and stillness, which is one of the reasons we love photographing and filming there so much. There’s room to breathe. Room for movement.
Room for emotion to unfold naturally.

Working alongside the incredible team from Pash & Dash, the vision for this Toowoomba elopement inspiration shoot was to create something that felt intimate and editorial while still grounded in warmth and connection. Less about trends, more about atmosphere. Less performance, more presence.

Courtney wore a beautifully romantic gown from When Freddie Met Lilly that moved effortlessly in the wind, while Jackson’s timeless tailoring by Wil Valor brought a refined softness to the entire aesthetic. Together they moved through the landscape so naturally that it barely felt like a styled shoot at all, more like witnessing two people quietly existing inside a memory.

The florals by NE Flower Co mirrored the tones of the landscape perfectly: soft neutrals, textured movement and wild romanticism against the fading sunset light. Hair and makeup by Amelia Marie Makeup Artist kept everything luminous, effortless and understated, allowing the emotion and environment to remain the focal point.

As filmmakers and photographers, one of the things we love most about documenting elopements at Spicers Hidden Vale is how cinematic the property naturally feels. The winding roads, open paddocks, weathered fences and huge Queensland sunsets create a setting that almost feels European in mood while still unmistakably Australian. Every frame becomes layered with atmosphere.

For couples planning a Toowoomba elopement, Spicers Hidden Vale offers something incredibly rare: luxury without pretension. It’s intimate, expansive and deeply peaceful all at once. Whether you’re envisioning an editorial countryside celebration, a private vow exchange at sunset or an entire wedding weekend immersed in nature, the property allows space for a wedding day to feel genuinely personal.

Throughout the evening we created both vertical and horizontal films for social media and web, alongside cinematic photography designed to feel timeless rather than trend-driven. Our approach at Lovelenscapes Photography has always been rooted in emotion, movement and atmosphere, documenting not just what a wedding looked like, but what it felt like to be there.
