Vietnamese Catholic Tradition X Stylish Modern Dreamers
Oh, how we loved everything about Lisa + David’s wedding. I think we have never worked harder to research locations and do our homework for logistics than for this 14-hour Brisbane Wedding Day, which took us all over town. We thought we knew Brisbane after ten years here, but Architect Lisa’s brief to feature a diverse portfolio of Brisbane’s Architectural Gems in their wedding photos sure was a challenge we loved to take on.
Their wedding was a sophisticated blend between their Vietnamese heritage and their vibrant and stylish personalities as a young Professional power couple. The morning was reserved for a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at the parents’ home, followed by a soulful Catholic church ceremony on the Chapel at All Hallows School in Fortitude Valley. They had flown in their priest of choice from Melbourne and if you look through the photos and the joy of this ceremony, it’s easy to understand why they choose him. He was leading their ceremony with gentleness, beautiful storytelling and a lot of laughter, which was such a perfect fit for the couple’s personalities.
Our photo itinerary took us from All Hallows with its Manhatten-style arches and Story Bridge views to the pastel-dream backdrops up on the carpark at Chinatown, and over to Kangaroo Point to feature a bit of our Brisbane River and the city skyline. We finished up for sunset at Victoria Park Golf Course before heading into the reception there. Their fairy tale floral garden bridal party table and olive branches as centre pieces on guest tables were blew our minds, as did all their florals, which were lovingly created by the powerhouse that is Kate Dawes Flower Design. In 2019, the four of us went into completely different territory at Mount Tamborine for their engagement photos, which now beautifully complement their photo collections and their love story.

“Tina and Doruk are a gem find! Highly recommend them to anyone! They are so approachable it made our engagement shoot and wedding day experience that much easier and comfortable. They have such easy going personalities, you immediately feel reassured, relaxed and excited that you've got them as your photographers.
Tina and Doruk had worked on our brother and sister in laws wedding and we fell in love with their amazing work from that day. As a result we had to make an enquiry and locked them in straight away as their prices were also very competitive.
They are extremely prompt with enquiries, returning emails and phone calls. We had a lot of questions at the beginning and we would always get replies back nearly within mins as it seemed. This made planning that much easier and gave us a lot of confidence in them too. They know what they are doing!

These guys are professionals who know their locations, lighting and mood. They really tailor their locations, imagery to you, which makes it that more personal. I feel as you get to know them, they really go out of their way to give you advice, use their professional network to assist you in any way they can with your wedding. They've worked with a lot of florists, videographers etc. so they know and can suggest who could be a great pair for you.
So the end result? Just priceless, beautiful photos. As they work as a duo they really get all angles, candid moments and moments that you weren't around for, all captured for you. They then curate all your images into a slideshow with background music which was just a bonus as we didn’t expect it. It really put a smile on our faces and the feelings all came back as we watched and relived the day again. It was a priceless unexpected gift. Thank you guys!
