Embracing Everything

What are you looking forward to the most for your wedding day?
Cameron: Seeing Sarah walk down the aisle.
Sarah: I’m looking forward to embracing everything on the day. I’m grateful to have most of our loved ones with us despite the Covid-19 restrictions. Most of all I’m looking forward to exchanging vows.

Which Moments/Photos do you think you will treasure the most from your day?
Seeing each other at the ceremony, exchanging vows and being announced as husband and wife. Pictures of just the two of us and our immediate family.

Preston Peak Winery Wedding by Lovelenscapes Photography. Vow Exchange

How did you meet and who proposed?
We met when we were in highschool and connected through our love for travelling. Last year Cameron and his mates raised a huge amount of money for MS (as it is the disease my mum suffers with) and completed the Mongol Rally (UK - Mongolia). I met up with him after the rally in Portugal and after 6.5 years, Cam proposed to me in our little private hostel room.

Which parts of your wedding day do you look forward to the most?
Honestly just standing at the altar and exchanging our vows.

Which aspects of your day would you like to have photographed?
Everything. Bride Getting Ready, Groom Getting Ready, Ceremony, Formal Family Photos, Romantic Photos, Reception.

Was there something in particular about our photos or stories that made you feel like we'd be a good fit for your wedding?
Your editing style is amazing. I love the vivid colours and candid shots! I’m really looking to have two Photographers that we can feel relaxed around and aren’t afraid to tell us what to do/hint us in the right direction. I’m also looking to have a few creative shots potentially with the coloured smoke or sparklers confetti etc.

How many guests are you expecting?: 80

Preston Peak Wines

It’s no secret that Preston Peak Wines outside of Toowoomba is one of the best venues we know. We have worked here since 2017 and the level of quality of the service and food as well as the dreamy scenery has us coming back here again and again. We constantly recommend this venue for those who are still searching for their wedding location. Our favourite detail is that Matt & Bri from Preston Peak will spoil each bridal party with ice-cold drinks and lush grazing platters during photo time, delivered via their golf buggy, which follows the bridal party around during sunset photo time. It’s always an absolute dream up here and we can’t wait to be back for quite a few again in 2021.

Flowers by Toowoomba White Weddings

Sarah’s blooms by Toowoomba White Weddings were next-level beautiful and deserve a special mention here in case any of you are looking for their dream florist. So fresh, so thoughtfully delivered and presented, all our jaws dropped a little when they were dropped off. Apart from the obvious {crazy beautiful bouquet composition}, it’s clear to me that this talented florist would have also nurtured these blooms well before the day and that she would have chosen high-quality products to make sure they last. It’s not easy keeping white roses and orchids looking fresh and happy for an entire wedding day, but these blooms looked peachy from start to finish. If blooms like these are on your Pinterest board, be sure to find a high-quality florist who also knows how to gently package and transport them to your wedding. Roses and orchids can dent super easily at a simple touch and it’s extra visible on the white, making them look stained and brown, so for these kinds of blooms, protection and best quality are extra important. This florist completely nailed it and blew our minds with such lushness and talent.

Bridal Bouquet by Toowoomba White Weddings. Preston Peak Winery Wedding Toowoomba by Lovelenscapes Photography

Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your root was so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.

Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
