Some shoots feel less like photographs and more like remembering something beautiful while it is still happening. 🌻
The storm rolled slowly over the hills while the sunflowers kept turning toward the last light of the evening.
Belina & James wandered through the fields in traditional Vietnamese áo dài, laughing softly between gusts of warm wind and distant thunder.
“We got married during the first summer storm, complete with rain and thunder. Tina captured the day perfectly, from the rain to our joy in each other. It was more like she was there celebrating with us, rathen than just doing a job. She was the only person present during our first look. It’s such a private moment and we couldn’t imagine anyone else doing such a dreamy job. And of course her photography work is amazing. We get so much joy out of the photos of our day. Thank you so much Tina.”

A stormy Samford Valley engagement session under heavy skies and tall grass. This Brisbane engagement shoot was all about something real. Walking country roads, laughing in the wind, shaking bubbles beneath darkening trees and embracing the atmosphere instead of chasing sunshine. Cinematic, natural and deeply personal. I photograph engagement sessions across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and their hinterlands, as well as in Dresden and surrounding Saxony. March until May 2026 dates are now open for couples who want movement, nature and connection over stiff posing - photographs that feel like film stills, not staged moments.
Story time. Let’s throw it back to 2017. Anna and Geoff chose Tarureka Estate in Featherston, New Zealand, as their wedding venue. As a Brisbane-based wedding photographer specialising in destination weddings and New Zealand wedding photography at the time, I travelled to the Wairarapa wine region to photograph their celebration at the historic butter factory venue. Their Tarureka Estate wedding blended editorial wedding portraits, authentic connection, joyful goofiness and rain-filled romance in one of the most distinctive wedding venues in New Zealand. Here is our visual poem of Cat & Austin’s intimate winter wedding at Ocean View Estates Winery, only featuring their closest family members and the two of them.
Originally built in the 1880s as the residence of Dr. John Thompson, The Inchcolm by Ovolo draws inspiration from the interwar period, a time characterised by its innovative art, music, and literature.
In a world that often rushes towards grandeur and extravagance, Felicity and Liam chose simplicity, authenticity, and art. Their ‘Alice in Wonderland’-themed Brisbane City elopement serves as a testament that when two souls are in harmony, the universe conspires to make their journey as enchanting as their favourite tales.
In our digitised world, where images are fleeting and often relegated to screens, the power of a tangible print has become even more pronounced. Physical prints, especially those rendered on exquisite paper and materials, are an affirmation of moments that matter. A wedding album printed on fine art paper isn't just a collection of photos - it's a family heirloom, a tactile testament to love, and a piece of art.
